What AdsWard does with data.
AdsWard is a Safari content blocker and optional page-cleanup extension for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published by n8 studio. This policy covers the app, its Safari extensions, and this website. Last updated 30 September 2026.
Short version
No accounts, no history, no analytics.
The app has no server that stores your data. There is nothing to sign in to, and no profile is built.
- No browsing history. AdsWard never records, transmits or stores the pages you visit. Safari does not hand page URLs to a content blocker; the optional Advanced extension sees page content only on websites you allow, and only to hide or adjust elements there.
- No accounts or personal profile. There is no sign-up, no email requirement, and no advertising identifier collection.
- No analytics or crash reporting SDKs. Neither the app nor this website includes third-party analytics, tracking pixels or advertising code.
- No VPN and no network proxy. Your traffic is not routed through us.
- Rules and settings stay on your device. Filter lists you install, your allowed sites, custom lists, cookie-banner preference and article-overlay choices are stored locally and shared with the Safari extensions through an on-device app group container.
Network use
What actually leaves your device.
Two things, both necessary for the app to work, and neither containing personal data.
- Filter-list updates. At launch and at most once a day, AdsWard requests its compiled rule pack over HTTPS from our Cloudflare-hosted distribution. The request is a plain file download: it sends no identifier, no browsing data and no settings. Like any web request, the content delivery network sees the IP address and user agent needed to serve it, and retains its own operational logs under Cloudflare’s policy.
- Optional tips. Buying a tip is handled entirely by Apple. We receive only Apple’s confirmation that a transaction occurred — never your name, card or Apple Account details.
- Diagnostics you choose to share. “Protection details” can generate a short text summary of versions, layer states and counts. It contains no site URLs, no history and no account data, and it is sent nowhere unless you share it yourself.
This website
No cookies, no tracking.
Advertising is not served here, and no cookie is set for measurement or profiling.
- Static pages. ward.n8.lu is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or analytics.
- The manual test page. The Test Safari page contacts Google only when you press Run test, to see whether a known ad-script URL loads. It runs nothing on page load and does not read your extension status.
- Contact. Emailing hi@n8.lu shares your address with us so we can reply. We keep support mail only as long as needed to answer it.
Your choices
Control stays with you.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to export or erase on our side.
- Turn layers off. Safari blocking and the optional Advanced extension each have their own switch, and per-site allowlisting disables blocking for a hostname you choose.
- Delete local data. Removing the app deletes its local rules, settings and the on-device shared container.
- Questions. Ask at hi@n8.lu; we will answer plainly about what the app does and does not do.
Scope
Who this covers.
AdsWard is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, so there is nothing child-specific to disclose.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts collecting something new, this page will be updated before that version ships, with the date at the top changed.
